About the Office of Communications
The Temple Health Office of Communications handles all press inquiries related to Temple University Health System and the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. Members of the news media should contact our office first when requesting information about Temple Health, the condition of a patient, video opportunities or interviews with Temple administrators, faculty, researchers or staff.
Arranging an Escort
Members of the press must be escorted by a member of the Office of Communications when visiting Temple Health facilities. Please contact our office at 215-707-4839 to arrange an escort prior to arriving at the facility.
Requesting Patient Update
When requesting an update on a patient’s condition, you must provide a first and last name of the patient with the correct spelling. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) limits the information that can be provided to a one-word condition update.

Media members can contact the Office of Communications from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at 215-707-4839. For after-hours requests, please call 215-707-4545 to page the on-call staff member.
