An Applied Radiology article on virtual reality being leveraged to make radiology procedures less daunting for patients highlighted findings from researchers at Temple University Hospital and the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University published in the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology. The study analyzed the analgesic and anxiolytic effects of a virtual reality experience and virtual reality’s effect on pain reduction during interventional radiology procedures.
