In 2025, the Temple Lung Center continued to advance its mission across clinical care, research, and education, while expanding its national and global impact in pulmonary medicine. Our teams remain deeply committed to improving outcomes for patients with complex lung disease while training the next generation of physician leaders through robust fellowship and educational programs.
This year was marked by progress across the full continuum of care—from early disease detection and advanced COPD interventions to pulmonary vascular disease research and lung transplantation. Our lung transplant program achieved a historic milestone, performing the highest annual transplant volume ever recorded by a single U.S. center. This accomplishment reflects the strength of our multidisciplinary model, our ability to care for the most medically complex patients, and our continued focus on expanding access while maintaining excellent outcomes.
Our research enterprise also continued to grow in both scope and impact. With a broad portfolio of clinical trials and first-in-human studies, Temple remains one of the busiest hubs of pulmonary research in the country. These efforts are advancing new minimally invasive therapies for COPD, refining approaches to pulmonary vascular disease, and ensuring that patients have access to innovative treatments that may shape future standards of care.
Education remains central to our mission. Through hands-on clinical training, mentorship, and scholarly collaboration, we are proud to support our fellows and alumni as they advance pulmonary and critical care medicine across academic and clinical settings nationwide.
Thank you for your continued engagement with the Temple Lung Center. We look forward to building on this momentum and strengthening our partnerships in the years ahead.
