Alireza Hamidian Jahromi, MD, Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, performed the first group of gender affirmation surgeries at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu, Nepal. Dr. Hamidian Jahromi collaborated with Nepalese plastic surgeons and officially started a gender affirmation surgery program for the first time in the country.
