Daniel J. Rubin, MD, MSC, FACE, Director of Clinical Research and Deputy Chief, Section of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, provided perspective to Medscape on an investigational liver-targeted formulation of fast-acting insulin which may reduce the risk for hypoglycemia in people with type 1 diabetes. The data from the phase 2 study were presented at the American Diabetes Association 2026 Scientific Sessions. Rubin was not involved in the study.
