In March 2025, the American Society of Echocardiography introduced a revised version of its Echocardiographic Assessment of the Right Heart Guidelines, which highlighted pulmonary hypertension as a critical indicator in patients with or at risk for cardiopulmonary disease. Anjali Vaidya, MD, FACC, FASE, FACP, Director of the Advanced Pulmonary Hypertension, Right Heart Failure & CTEPH Program at Temple University Hospital, explained to HCPLive the clinical implications of these revised guidelines, which she presented at the Pulmonary Hypertension Association’s PHPN Symposium in Seattle in September.
