Tissue Bank

To understand possible causes of ALS in a person’s genetic material through DNA collection and biomarker analysis, our goal is to collect blood, urine and CSF (spinal fluid) in addition to some basic health related information from your medical record in a safe and anonymous way. To further research and understand the potential causes of ALS we are also collecting autopsy tissue from participants willing to donate (only if you provide optional consent). If you consent to participating in this research study you will be asked to provide information regarding medical and family history, blood and urine samples at your routine follow-up visits and collection of additional CSF if undergoing a scheduled lumbar puncture (only if you provide optional consent).
