Natural History Study of ALS/MND

view all Clinical Trials

Overview

There is evidence showing that ALS presents itself in a variety of ways and may have many causes. The goal of the Natural History of ALS/MND study is to separate out the different subtypes (groups) of people with ALS/MND to better develop treatments specifically targeted to each subtype. The information collected will provide an understanding of the natural progression of the illness and identify clinical features, environmental/genetic factors for these subtypes and ultimately allow for more efficient design of clinical trials and enable personalized medicine. A global unique identifier (GUID) will be created to keep the participants/ collected health information safe and secure.
