The Nutrition & Hospitality Department is dedicated to serving you delicious and healthy food. The team works closely with your doctor, who determines the best diet for your total treatment. Please understand that if you are having certain procedures or tests, it may be necessary to delay or change your meals. After your tests have been completed, your nurse will notify the Nutrition & Hospitality Department so your meal can be served.
A hostess will visit you to help you select your meals and answer any questions. If your doctor changes your diet order, the changes will become effective at the next meal after the order was given. For more information about our Room Service menu, dial ext. 4856. Dietitians are assigned to each patient’s floor. They are responsible for assessing a patient’s nutritional status and are available to meet with patients about any nutritional concerns.
The location of your assigned room will determine the exact time your meal will be delivered. Mealtime hours are:
- Breakfast from 7:45 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.
- Lunch from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
- Dinner from 4:45 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
If you have special dietary needs (for example, if you are kosher, vegetarian or have allergies), please dial ext. 4856 for help or speak to your hostess.
