About
I am a Endourologist who specializes in the surgical management and medical prevention of kidney stones and treatment of benign prostate enlargement with Holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP). I have had extensive training in minimally invasive techniques, and believe that, when necessary, the optimal surgical approach is the one that limits treatment-related side effects while maximizing patient safety and prompt post-operative recovery.
As a specialist focused on management of benign urologic conditions, I pride myself on patient education to help patients and their families better understand and assess their treatment options. I am passionate about creating partnerships with my patients, through which we can individualize plans of care to enhance quality of life and achieve the best possible short and long- term outcomes.
As an academic surgeon, my goal is to provide my patients with the most updated treatment options, by being actively involved in research and technological advancement. I am fortunate to practice at Fox Chase Cancer Center, which fosters a culture of compassion, collaboration, and innovation.
Patient Comments
Thank you for everything
Love Dr Friedlander. Feel very comfortable with the care his always gives me. Always concerned about my health and care
I have 40 years experience with kidney stones [too many to count], plus about 20 years with BPH and I am now receiving a higher level of treatment than ever - higher than my past 6 Urologists could provide. I am also now getting treated for Prostate cancer and experiencing a better quality of life than I have had for decades - just as I am about to start radiation treatment. I and my family and also my providers are hopeful for a cancer free future, but no matter the outcome I am grateful to have been given a far better life experience than I ever expected. Many thanks to ALL at FCCC, Including Drs [...], Friedlander, and [...], and all the specialists, anesthesiologists and Residents and all the nurses at FCCC, Jeanes, Chestnut Hill, and at the offices and all the support staff everywhere.
