WHYY interviewed Lin Zhu, PhD, Assistant Professor in the Center for Asian Health and in Urban Health and Population Science at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, about hepatitis B and the hepatitis B vaccine. The hepatitis B virus is highly contagious and attacks the liver. The chronic, lifelong form of the condition has no cure and can lead to liver damage, cancer, and death. It also disproportionately impacts Asian, African, and Pacific Islander communities. The Philadelphia Tribune picked up the WHYY article.
