Today.com shared the story of Temple patient James Shen who was diagnosed with a rare cancer that spread throughout his chest cavity. Joseph Friedberg, MD, FACS, Thoracic Surgeon-in-Chief at Temple University Health System, performed a 17-hour lung-sparing surgery and was able to remove Shen’s cancer while preserving his lung, and ultimately his quality of life.
