Temple Health teamed up with the Phillies to honor and recognize healthcare heroes in the nursing industry at ‘Nurses Night presented by Temple Health’ before and during the team’s May 5 game against the New York Mets. As part of the evening, nurses from Temple Health were recognized on-field prior to the game. The Temple nurses recognized on the field are Helene Fink, RN, BSN, LPN, Temple University Hospital – Jeanes Campus; Shellery Washington, RN, Temple University Hospital – Main Campus; Samantha Houck, RN, BSN, Fox Chase Cancer Center; Moses Torh, RN, BS, MBA, Temple University Hospital – Episcopal Campus; Marilyn Velazquez, LPN, Temple Physicians, Inc.; and Robin Millhouse, RN, Temple Faculty Physicians. Helene Fink threw the ceremonial first pitch. Fans at the game also had the opportunity to learn about nursing and career opportunities with Temple Health. Nurse leaders were available for real-time interviews and had the ability to make an offer on the spot. NBC10 and MLB.com covered the event.
