Temple Featured Prominently in Philadelphia Magazine’s 2021 ‘Top Doctors’ Issue

One hundred forty-six (146) Temple physicians have been named to Philadelphia magazine’s “Top Doctors” list for 2021. The Temple doctors on this year’s “Top Doctors” list represent 39 specialties. This year’s issue also provided many opportunities for earned media placements, and Temple achieved significant recognition. View the editorial package here.

  • Deric C. Savior, MD, Head of Medical Oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center at Temple University Hospital, was selected for this year’s cover photo. A quote from Dr. Savior was also included in an opening column by the magazine’s editor.
  • Henry Fung, MD, FACP, FRCPE, Chair of the Department of Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapies at Fox Chase Cancer Center, provided perspective for an article about CAR-T therapies that appeared in the editorial package and had a prominent pull quote in the publication.
  • Arthur M. Feldman, MD, PhD, Laura H. Carnell Professor of Medicine, Professor of Physiology, Professor in the Cardiovascular Research Center and in the Center for Translational Medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, was featured in a piece in the editorial package for his research that led to the development of an experimental gene therapy product targeting BAG3-associated dilated cardiomyopathy.
  • The online editorial package also featured a sidebar that included Kamel Khalili, PhD, Laura H. Carnell Professor and Chair of the Department of Neuroscience, Director of the Center for Neurovirology and Director of the Comprehensive NeuroAIDS Center at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, and his work developing CRISPR-based gene editing constructs for people living with chronic HIV infection.
