Temple Cardiac Surgery Patient Grateful After Health Scare Over the Holidays Last Year

The Daily Local News highlighted the story of Chester Co. resident Lawrence Hilton, who underwent quadruple bypass surgery at Temple University Hospital (TUH) in 2018. On Dec. 26, 2018, Mr. Hilton had sudden cardiac arrest while driving his wife to work. Thanks to the extraordinary efforts of his daughter-in-law (a registered nurse) and EMTs, he made it to Brandywine Hospital before being transferred to TUH for surgery. Mr. Hilton’s story was featured on the front page of the Sunday Daily Local News. FOX29 also interviewed him for a segment.
