Runner’s World interviewed Eric Balaban, MD, a Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellow at the Temple Lung Center, about the impacts of breathing in lead vehicle emissions during races. Dr. Balaban offered insight on the health effects of particulate matter and ground-level ozone.
