Amy J. Goldberg, MD, FACS, George S. Peters, MD and Louise C. Peters Chair and Professor of Surgery at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and Surgeon-in-Chief of Temple University Health System, provided testimony at a gun violence policy hearing that was attended by lawmakers from across Pennsylvania. Dr. Goldberg described to the elected officials how the medical community’s perception of gun violence has shifted over time and how it is now seen as a public health issue.
