Philadelphia and Lehigh Valley News Outlets Provide Coverage of Lewis Katz School of Medicine’s Annual Match Day

The Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University held its annual “Match Day” for graduating medical students on March 15th. Students learned where they will be spending their next few years of residency training. This year, the Katz School of Medicine celebrated Match Day at both its North Philadelphia Campus and at the Temple/St. Luke’s School of Medicine Campus in Bethlehem. Amy J. Goldberg, MD, FACS, the Marjorie Joy Katz Dean of the Lewis Katz School of Medicine addressed both campuses via a live, direct feed and counted the students at both locations down to the moment when they opened their envelopes. To add to the excitement this year, Andrea Palm, Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services attended Match Day at the North Philadelphia campus. Multiple media outlets highlighted the event, including 6ABC, NBC10 and CBS3. WFMZ-TV, the Valley Ledger and LehighValleyNews.com included comments from Shaden Eldakar-Hein, MD, MS, Senior Associate Dean at the Katz School of Medicine/St. Luke’s University Health Network, as well as medical students Eva Munshower, Kate Arner and Josh Elmer.
