Narrative Medicine Director Michael Vitez Offers Perspective to Reuters Health

Michael Vitez, Director of Narrative Medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, offered insight to Reuters Health for an article about a New York City community health care center that encouraged young patients to respond to the prompt “How do you see yourself?” while in the waiting room. The exercise began as a narrative medicine project during the doctors’ time in medical school. The New York Times, Yahoo! News, MSN.com and additional media outlets picked up the Reuters Health piece.
