John M. Daly, MD, FACS, Dean and Dean Emeritus and Harry C. Donahoo Professor of Surgery at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University (LKSOM), passed away on Friday, March 26th, at the age of 73. Steven R. Houser, PhD, FAHA, Senior Associate Dean of Research, Vera J. Goodfriend Endowed Chair of Cardiovascular Research, Chair and Professor of Physiology, Director of the Cardiovascular Research Center and Professor of Medicine at LKSOM, and Sara Goldrick-Rab, PhD, Professor of Sociology and Medicine at Temple University and Founding Director of the Hope Center for College, Community and Justice at LKSOM, shared their memories of Dean Daly with the Philadelphia Inquirer. NBC10, WHYY, KYW Newsradio and the Temple News also recognized his contributions to LKSOM.
