6ABC-TV and Temple Health collaborated on a sponsored segment about the Temple Healthy Chest Initiative. The low-dose CT scan screens for lung cancer but can also detect other conditions, such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), emphysema, diabetes, osteoporosis, sleep apnea and other cancers of the chest. The segment featured Heidi Smith, RN, Nurse Coordinator at Temple University Hospital.
