Medscape interviewed Isam Albaba, MBBS, Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellow at the Temple Lung Center, about his research presented at the ATS International Conference which found that pre-procedural quantitative CT analysis identified that the interaction between target-lobe size and air trapping of ipsilateral non-target lobes is the strongest correlate of post-bronchoscopic lung volume reduction (BLVR) pneumothorax, the most frequent complication following BLVR.
