Media Outlets Highlight Temple’s Participation in White Coats for Black Lives Demonstration

Temple University Health System joined other Philadelphia-area health care institutions on Friday, June 5th, in the White Coats for Black Lives demonstration. Doctors, nurses, staff and students at Temple University Hospital, TUH-Episcopal Campus, TUH-Jeanes Campus, Fox Chase Cancer Center, and the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, were invited to take a knee for 8 minutes and 46 seconds in the citywide demonstration of unity in the fight for racial justice. The event was highlighted by the Philadelphia Business Journal, 6ABC, the Philadelphia Inquirer, and PhillyVoice. Organizers included Zoe Maher, MD, Assistant Professor of Surgery at LKSOM, and Maura Sammon, MD, Assistant Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine at LKSOM.
