View All News

Will Parks, starting safety for the Denver Broncos and Philadelphia native, met with leaders of Philadelphia CeaseFire, an anti-violence program based in the Lewis Katz School of Medicine’s Center for Bioethics, Urban Health and Policy. FOX29 provided coverage of the meeting and spoke to Will for a segment that aired on their 5 o’clock newscast. Will, his mother Nyerere Parks, and Marla Davis-Bellamy, JD, MGA, Director of Philadelphia CeaseFire, were also interviewed earlier in the day on FOX29’s “Good Day Philadelphia” about his personal experiences with gun violence as well as his involvement with the initiative. Will chose Philadelphia CeaseFire for the NFL’s three-week “My Cause, My Cleats” campaign and, along with the Broncos, donated money to the program.
