Pazionis, MD, MA, FRCSC, ABOS, Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, offered insight to The Philadelphia Inquirer on the spinal procedure that Phillies infield prospect Aidan Miller underwent and his accompanying diagnosis. Miller was diagnosed with discogenic pain and facet inflammation in the lumbar spine, and received radiofrequency ablation of the facet joints, which involves zapping nerves that relay pain to the brain.
