Dr. Samantha Pettigrew Joins AJMC for Video Interview on Jalen Hurts’ Diagnosis of Deep Vein Thrombosis and Bilateral Pulmonary Emboli

Samantha Pettigrew, MD, Assistant Professor of Clinical Thoracic Medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, joined AJMC for a video interview about Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts’ diagnosis of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and bilateral pulmonary emboli. Hurts was initially diagnosed with a superficial blood clot. Pettigrew discussed how pulmonary emboli develop, risk factors, treatment, and emphasized they can happen to anyone.
