Rajiv Bhuta, MD, Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, provided perspective for a HealthCentral article on an AI model that analyzes smartphone snapshots of stool to predict ulcerative colitis disease activity. The model was tested in a recent study that was published in the American Journal of Gastroenterology. Dr. Bhuta was not involved in the study.
