A trial published recently in the Lancet Gastroenterology & Hepatology found it’s possible that appendicectomy might help to keep a patient’s ulcerative colitis in remission. Neena Mohan, MD, Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, provided commentary to HealthCentral on the study’s findings.
