Matthew Viggiano, MD, Internal Medicine Resident at Temple University Hospital, spoke with Healio and AJMCTV about new research which found that among adults with interstitial lung disease that required ICU care, women faced a significantly lower adjusted likelihood for mortality than men. Dr. Viggiano and colleagues also found that the average length of hospitalization differed by sex, with women having a shorter stay. The research was presented at the ATS conference.
