Dr. Kartik Shenoy Provides Perspective to Medscape on Data Presented at ERS Which Found Dupilumab More Effective in Achieving Clinical Remission in Several Types of Severe Asthma

Kartik V. Shenoy, MD, Professor of Thoracic Medicine and Surgery at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, provided perspective for a Medscape article on data presented at ERS which found that dupilumab was more effective than other biologics in achieving clinical remission in adults and adolescents with several types of severe asthma. Shenoy, who was not involved in the study, noted full consensus on what constitutes clinical remission is lacking and that the study did not include all biologics currently available for severe asthma. He emphasized the choice of biologic should be a shared decision between the patient and clinician.
