Beard, MD, MPH, FACS, Associate Professor of Surgery in the Department of Trauma and Critical Care and Director of Trauma Research at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, provided perspective for a KFF Health News article about a new study published in Health Affairs. The study looked at firearm injuries in children and adolescents and the health and economic consequences among survivors and family members. Dr. Beard was not involved in the study.
