NPR interviewed Jessica H. Beard, MD, MPH, FACS, Associate Professor of Surgery and Director of Trauma Research at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, following the July 4th mass shooting in Highland Park, Illinois. Dr. Beard addressed the “last place you’d expect a shooting” narrative.
