Jamie Garfield, MD, Professor of Thoracic Medicine and Surgery at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, provided perspective to the Chestnut Hill Local about respiratory virus season and what’s circulating in the Philadelphia region. Garfield discussed flu and COVID and emphasized that beyond hand hygiene, wearing a mask, and social distancing, vaccination is vitally important. Unfortunately, vaccination rates remain low.
