Gerard J. Criner, MD, FACP, FACCP, Director of the Temple Lung Center, participated in a video interview with HCPLive at the ATS International Conference on his mini symposium presentation on pegtarazimod, a dual-acting, anti-inflammatory peptide. The data from the phase 2a BRIGHT clinical trial demonstrated pegtarazimod was safe and well-tolerated in hospitalized AE-COPD patients, and compared to patients receiving placebo, improvements in oxygen utilization and inflammatory biomarkers were observed.
