Criner, MD, FACP, FACCP, Chair and Professor of Thoracic Medicine and Surgery at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and Director of the Temple Lung Center, spoke with Healio and Medscape at the American Thoracic Society (ATS) International Conference about a secondary analysis from the MATINEE clinical trial which found use of mepolizumab as an add-on treatment to optimal triple therapy may help prevent severe exacerbations in patients with COPD. Dr. Criner reviewed findings from a secondary analysis of the phase 3 trial.
