Ahmed S. Sadek, MD, Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, provided perspective for a Medscape article on a report published in Frontiers in Public Health in which researchers analyzed data on pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) incidence, mortality and disability-adjusted life year (DALY) rates at the national, regional and global level from 1990 to 2021 using the Global Burden of Disease 2021 dataset. Dr. Sadek was not involved in the study.
