Temple University Health System’s preparations for and treatment of patients amidst the coronavirus pandemic continue to be part of the media’s COVID-19 coverage.

  • The Association of Academic Health Centers (AAHC) highlighted the variety of clinical trials and investigational treatment options that Temple is offering patients with COVID-19.
  • Candrice R. Heath, MD, Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, provided insight on “maskne,” including advice about wearing makeup and tips for skin of color, for a New York Times article on the subject.
  • Thomas Fekete, MD, MACP, Thomas Durant Chair in the Department of Medicine and Professor of Medicine and Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, was interviewed by the Morning Call about the potential for a second wave of the coronavirus. Dr. Fekete offered insight on herd immunity, vaccine development, and how long it could take to see any new COVID-19 cases as restrictions are relaxed.
