GI & Hepatology News picked up a Medscape article that included perspective from Rajiv Bhuta, MD, Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, on a preliminary modeling study which suggests four variables easily accessible at hospital discharge could predict the risk for rehospitalization at 90 days among patients with ulcerative colitis. The study was published in The Journal of the Canadian Association of Gastroenterology. Dr. Bhuta was not involved in the study.
