The Bucks County Herald highlighted how an expansion will help Thrombolex Inc. increase its production of the BASHIR™ Endovascular Catheter (THROMBOLEX, Inc.), invented at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and developed by Thrombolex Inc. The catheter was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of acute pulmonary embolism back in the spring. Riyaz Bashir, MD, FACC, Director of Vascular and Endovascular Medicine at Temple University Hospital, is co-inventor of the BASHIR™ Endovascular Catheter.
