A Billy Penn article highlighted the Philadelphia Center for Gun Violence Reporting (PCGVR)’s Better Gun Violence Reporting Workshop. Jessica H. Beard, MD, MPH, FACS, Associate Professor of Surgery and Director of Trauma Research at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, is also the Director of Research at PCGVR and a Stoneleigh Foundation fellow. Dr. Beard and her research teams have previously examined how shooting events are reported in public news media.
