BET highlighted the Hope Center for College, Community, and Justice’s recent work on basic needs insecurity at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The article noted that food insecurity is a challenge for nearly half of the 5,000 HBCU students surveyed by the Hope Center. More than 50 percent of the students surveyed were also housing insecure.
