The Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University held a graduation ceremony for the Class of 2026 on May 8th at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. ABC’s “World News Tonight With David Muir” highlighted the story of one graduate: 27-year-old Phyllis Parkansky, who followed in her mother’s medical footsteps by attending the Lewis Katz School of Medicine. The two shared a full-circle moment on the graduation stage when her mother, Dr. Inessa Parkansky, Class of 1999, hooded her.
