Lung Disease Support Groups

Michelle Vega-Olivio, CRNP, leading a support group at the Temple Lung Center.

A support group can connect you to other people who understand exactly what you’re facing. Through the Temple Lung Center, we offer support groups for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pulmonary fibrosis, sarcoidosis and smoking cessation. Learn more about these groups:

COPD Support Group

Living with a chronic lung disease like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) can be challenging, but the right support can improve your quality of life and your outlook on your disease.

Please note: At this time, we do not have any upcoming support group meetings scheduled.

Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Group

Many people with pulmonary fibrosis, including idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), find it helpful to talk to others who understand their challenges and can offer support and advice.

We are currently offering this support group online.

Sarcoidosis Support Group

Sarcoidosis is a complex disease that can involve multiple organs in the body, and can be difficult for patients who suffer from it as there is no cure. Connecting patients with this support group can lead to advances in research as we strive to better understand this disease.

We are currently offering this support group online.

Smoking Cessation Support Group

Being part of a group of people you relate to may help you through the process of quitting smoking and keep you committed to a smoke-free life.

Please note: At this time, we do not have any upcoming support group meetings scheduled.
