Temple Health has added a new multidisciplinary practice on the campus of Temple Health-Chestnut Hill Hospital, expanding access to advanced services and specialists from Temple Faculty Physicians (TFP), including endocrinology, rheumatology, and ophthalmology.

“The opening of this Temple Faculty Physicians practice on the campus of Temple Health-Chestnut Hill is an exciting and welcome addition to our system,” said Richard Newell, MPT, DPT, President and CEO of Temple Health-Chestnut Hill Hospital said. “Temple Health is committed to expanding access to advanced clinical care for residents of Chestnut Hill and Northwest Philadelphia. Our goal remains to provide access to world-class tertiary care right here in our community.”

“Temple’s faculty physicians are committed to delivering the highest quality care to our patients,” said Claire Raab, MD, President and CEO of TFP. “This new practice and its expanded services are another advance in Temple Health’s continued integration of academic medicine and community-based care.”

Located at 33 E. Chestnut Hill Avenue, adjacent to Chestnut Hill Hospital, the practice introduces endocrinology, rheumatology, and ophthalmology services to the Chestnut Hill campus while also expanding access to pain management and dermatology services.

Analysis of the region’s patients, their clinical needs, and proximity to available services helped determine which services were ideal fits for the newly opened TFP practice, Newell said.

Since Chestnut Hill Hospital’s joined Temple Health in 2023, the system has made steady investments in infrastructure and personnel to support local access to advanced high-quality care delivered by faculty representing numerous clinical specialties, including the Temple Lung Center, the Heart & Vascular Institute, the Urologic Institute, and oncology care from Fox Chase Cancer Center.
