On February 20, TUH-Jeanes Campus hosted an appreciation event for State Senator Joe Picozzi and State Representative Sean Dougherty to thank them for their role in securing $625k in Commonwealth capital funding, which will be used to upgrade hospital elevators.

“Modernizing our elevators supports every single department in this building,” said Matt Shelak, OTR/L, MBA, Jeanes’ Executive Director. “It improves patient flow. It reduces wait times. It enhances safety. And just as importantly, it improves the experience for patients and families during moments that can already feel overwhelming.”

“For a hospital like Jeanes, thoughtful investments in infrastructure have an outsized impact,” Shelak continued. “They help us remain strong, responsive, and prepared to meet the evolving needs of the community we serve.”

“Senator Picozzi and Representative Dougherty, we are deeply grateful for your partnership and your commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure here in our community,” he concluded.
