Temple University Hospital Ranked #1 Hospital in Pennsylvania for Health Equity by the Lown Institute

View All News

Temple University Hospital (TUH), including TUH-Main Campus, TUH-Jeanes Campus and TUH-Episcopal Campus, has been ranked the #1 hospital in Pennsylvania for Health Equity and #2 in the state – and Top 1% in the nation – for Inclusivity in the 2023-24 Lown Institute Hospitals Index. TUH also earned ‘A’ Grades for Community Benefit, Social Responsibility, Patient Safety, and Value of Care. The Lown Institute—a nonpartisan healthcare think-tank—developed these rankings after evaluating more than 3,600 hospitals on the basis of health equity, value of care, and patient outcomes.

Our priority has always been to provide the very best care to one of the nation’s most underserved communities, and to treat our community with dignity and respect.  Our team embodies that goal, every day—and it’s their hard work and compassion that makes all of this possible,” said Abhinav Rastogi, MBA, MIS, President and CEO of Temple University Hospital and Executive Vice President of Temple University Health System. “These awards are independent proof that what our team does makes a difference: in the lives of our patients, and in our community as a whole.”
