View All News

Temple University Hospital (TUH) has earned an ‘A’ grade from Leapfrog in its spring 2022 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade report. Leapfrog also recognized Temple University Hospital with the ‘A’ safety grade in its fall 2021, spring 2021 and fall 2020 reports.

“This important distinction from Leapfrog, a national watchdog organization, recognizes the achievements of the entire Temple University Hospital team in delivering dependable care, preventing errors, and achieving high standards of patient safety – all of which Leapfrog urges consumers to consider when choosing their hospital,” said Abhinav Rastogi, MBA, MIS, President and CEO of TUH. “Earning an ‘A’ grade for the fourth consecutive time truly affirms our team’s commitment to the safety of our patients.”

Leapfrog’s peer-reviewed methodology uses more than 30 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to assign grades to about 3,000 U.S. acute-care hospitals twice per year. Grades are advised by an expert panel of leading patient safety authorities from across the country and receives guidance from the Johns Hopkins Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality.
