Temple Health is announcing two appointments on its health system leadership team. Lauren Gordon has joined Temple Health as Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), and Stefanie Murphy has been appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing & Communications Officer. Gordon joins Temple Health from her role as Chief People Officer at ConcertAI, a leading life sciences and healthcare technology company pairing real-world data with enterprise AI. Murphy has been with Temple Health for 17+ years, advancing in her early years in the marketing department to Associate Vice President for Marketing and Digital Marketing, and most recently, serving as Interim Chief Marketing Officer for the past 10 months.

Strengthening Temple Health's Workforce

Lauren Gordon comes to Temple Health with deep expertise in the life sciences and healthcare technology sectors, and a proven ability to align people strategy with data and business outcomes—skills that will be central to sustaining growth across the system’s clinical and research enterprise.

As CHRO, Gordon will focus on strengthening Temple Health’s workforce. She will:

  • Accelerate the use of people analytics and AI-enabled tools to improve workforce planning, reduce time-to-hire, and align staffing with clinical demand.
  • Lead targeted talent acquisition and retention strategies to secure and retain clinicians and researchers.
  • Partner with clinical and operational leaders to ensure compensation, benefits, and job infrastructure support for long-term sustainability.
  • Advance initiatives to improve employee experience, engagement, and wellbeing.
  • Support operational preparedness to protect patient care and continuity across the Health System.

Gordon brings proven experience aligning workforce strategy with business growth. At ConcertAI, she integrated people analytics and global talent systems into the company’s roadmap, fueling innovation and performance. Earlier, she led HR at Tmunity Therapeutics and shaped talent strategy for life sciences clients. A Philadelphia native, she pairs local insight with expertise across healthcare, research, and technology—an advantage as she advances Temple Health’s mission.

Gordon’s combination of life sciences expertise, fluency in AI and technology, and deep understanding of the local community will strengthen Temple Health’s ability to recruit, develop, and retain the talent needed to deliver the highest quality care and serve its patients and community.
