Across Temple Heath, teams are working hard to get everyone in the holiday spirit!
Holiday Decorating Contest at TUH-Main Campus
The fourth and fifth floors of Main Campus’ Outpatient Building—including Temple’s Dermatology, Hepatology, Endocrinology, and Rheumatology departments—held their first-ever Holiday Decorating Contest.
This festive team-building activity was designed to build camaraderie and bring coworkers closer together. That was exactly what happened: each team collaborated to decorate their space, wowing patients (and judges) with their festive decorations!
Door' Decorating Contest at TUH-Jeanes Campus
Jeanes also invited some friendly competition—with a creative twist! Each department was gifted a ‘door’ to decorate, and all the entries were displayed in the campus cafeteria, creating a winter wonderland!
Toy Drive at Temple Pediatrics
Temple Pediatrics hosted its annual toy drive for families in the community. Donations—which department staff and medical students volunteered to unpack—came from the Sassy Massey Foundation. Team members reached out to patients at their practice and in the neighborhood to create individual wish lists, and families came up to pick up the toys for Christmas.
Adopt-a-Family and Caroling at TUH-Main Campus
Main Campus’ Patient Experience team always goes over the top to celebrate the holidays, and this year was no exception!
In partnership with Project Bluebird, they adopted a local family in need and hosted them a holiday party, complete with gifts.
They also invited Lewis Katz School of Medicine a capella group TachyChordia to serenade patients, then sang carols on the units themselves a day later!
