Is there anything cuter than adoptable dogs? How about if they’re wearing Halloween costumes?
That’s the premise behind our annual Puppies and Pumpkins event, which was held on October 10th. TUH-Main Campus’ Office of Patient Experience teamed up with the Pennsylvania SPCA to bring furry friends looking for their forever homes to the hospital.
In keeping with the Halloween theme, employees also had the chance to decorate paper pumpkins, which they could bring back to their patients.
The event was also held near one of our flu vaccine clinics, which meant that—according to Manager of Community Living Engagement & Volunteer Services Shamin Mathews, MSW, LSW—“We were able to team up to make sure flu shots were received, pumpkins were created, and pups were snuggled.”
